What is InnerwerX?
InnerwerX is an online inventory management & P.O.S. (point of sale) service. It will help you to manage and track your inventory so that you, the store owner, can tell what products you are selling, and where they are going.
How do I use InnerwerX?
All you need is an internet connection and a bar code scanner. After that, we have already done the rest. Just point your scanner at the products bar code, shoot, and enter in how many of the product. Using InnerwerX is that simple.
How does InnerwerX track my inventory?
After you use the hand scanner to enter your inventory, there is a whole new world of inventory options at your fingertips. There are reports available to tell how much of a particular product sold, which percentage of inventory is selling, how many prizes were given away during tournaments, which of your sales staff sells the most, just to name a few. You'll know what you have in-stock, what is on order, and what you need to re-order. You'll also be able to determine what is "walking out the door".
Is InnerwerX secure?
Yes. We constantly strive to ensure our database, website, and all internal equipment is kept locked down and secure. Constant protection from IPS (Intrusion Prevition Systems), internal scanning and evaluation helps guarantee that everything keeps running and your information is kept secure. We strive to hold a higher standard for security than most standards require (HIPPA or PCI for example).
Is InnerwerX Accurate?
This is our number one focus, ensuring that all data maintains a high level of accuracy. We continually will check and recheck our database for errors, correcting them as found to provide the most complete and accurate database of products there is.

First, our Service is accessed through the internet, which means you don’t have to have an enormous hard drive to access your store's inventory.
We have already been in contact with distributors, manufacturers and publishers so that our database is populated with product information. All you need to do is use the bar-code scanner on your boxes and all the product information is at your fingertips. You simply enter how many of the product, and you're done.
And, since hand scanners are portable, you can walk through your store to scan items on the shelves instead of carrying all the boxes to your computer. How cool is that?
This database is always growing, since there are always new products entering the market. You don't have to do the research or the leg-work. We do it for you.
Why should I use InnerwerX?
InnerwerX was created by gamers because we have seen too many of our favorite stores close shop. We know that your time is important and want to make sure you can spend it running the business that you love.
We don't believe you should have to do everything on your own. We feel that by working together, you will be free to run your business instead of it running you.
InnerwerX is more reliable than doing inventory by hand, and it's less expensive than having a custom inventory program created. To top it off, it's easy to use and saves you loads of time. Why wouldn't you want to use it?
Is there any way for me to own the software, rather than lease it?
That is a question that we have heard before, we stress that you are not purchasing a program but a service. Because we are offering a service, and not a product in the traditional sense, there is not a way to own it.
The reason InnerwerX is a service based offering and not a hard product are several:
1. Flexibility - We are able to change the way the system works as needed by our customer base, on a regular basis without the need for you to do anything on your end. Because of this flexibility, new features and updates can occur with no need for new revisions being sent out, updates to apply, etc.
2. Consistancy - All clients are using the same 'version' of InnerwerX all the time, again with no need for to do anything on your end.
3. Easy to Use - We kept the interface simple. By using a web interface, the familiarity of browsing a web page helps keep the overall use and understanding of the service easy.
4. Always Up to Date - Because there is no need for you to update anything, you are always using the most up to date version of our solution.
5. Secure - We are able to guarantee that all data is kept secure by having control of the storage of the data itself. A side benefit is in the unfortunate event of a store fire, or theft, all the current inventory numbers are still available to present for insurance claims as well.
6. Real Time Data - The information is readily available, at any moment, without need for uploads from your end. This benefit's the owner of retail outlet by being able to access at any moment his store info and know exactly how the day is going. For distributors and manufacturers, real time data is great as they will have current information the moment they pull the data.
7. Less work for the Retailer - With a software solution, inventory database upkeep falls to the individual store. With our system, we will be those who keep the inventory database current. Manufacturers will have the ability to add new product to the system before it's even available to the distributors. Our Clients rarely need to enter a new product into the system. However if the need arises that some new product isn't already in the database, when one client enters that information, it is instantly available to all other users. Less work of keeping the system current, means it's more likely that the system keeps being used.
the Drawbacks of a software product solution are:
1. Developmental Limitations - The final product sent to the stores is 'final' until a new revision can be created, or patches on top of an existing software are done. The problem with this is guaranteeing that all updates go smoothly across multiple platform types. Any new feature requests have to wait until a new revision is complete, and then the update to the new revision is necessary. If during any update, a problem occurs, now support for that update failure is required.
2. Not a Single Solution - If the product does not have a feature the store needs, and they cannot wait for the next revision, they will find another product to either work with or replace the current solution. As more and more individual solutions come into play, the likelihood of dropping an existing tool is higher, until finally it becomes too much of a headache and some other overall solution is used instead.
3. Data Inaccuracy - Data is only as up to date as the stores who actually upload or enter it into the system. There will be instances where updates won't occur, and that data will not be available. This creates holes in the data available for market research, product tracking, etc.
4. Bandwidth Requirements - Each store will need a good enough internet connection to upload much more data that should be necessary.
5. Higher Level of Knowledge Needed by End Users - For installation, upkeep, updates, etc., a higher level of technical knowhow will be needed by each individual store. Without this knowledge, the tool no longer becomes useful, and becomes more of a burden.
6. Out of Date - Any software product on the market today, is already out of date before it even hits the shelves. Many after 'going gold' have issues found and patches readied before the public has even purchased the first copy.
Benefits of InnerwerX to the end customer as a service:
1. No need to own or maintain expensive hardware. With InnerwerX, all that is needed is a PC with internet connectivity. A software solution would require a higher end PC to serve as the host for the database as well as a front end PC to use it.
2. Always up to date. As mentioned above.
3. Overall lower cost. A software solution of this type would typically run anywhere from $1500-3000, new revisions of software typically mean a new price to pay, and most likely would happen sooner than 3 years. Then there is the cost of the compute and server to run the program. With InnerwerX you merely pay the monthly service fee.
4. An expense that is easily budgeted. InnerwerX is always a fixed amount, every month, no surprises.
5. Easy to use. As mentioned above.
